Climate Business Working Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Biodiversity &amp; Climate Business Working Group (GT) is a collaborative climate adaptation group to integrate biodiversity into Brazilian business strategies, through the fundamentals of SBTN, CBD, and IFRS.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WHAT ARE THE GOALS?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build business capacities in the Climate and Biodiversity Nexus, through training in risk and impact measurement frameworks for nature.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advocate for the conservation of Brazilian biomes and act to mitigate deforestation and protect the rich national biodiversity.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promote business practices that reconcile economic development and environmental conservation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure respect for the rights of indigenous peoples and traditional communities.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mobilize adequate financial resources for the implementation of essential sustainability measures.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW TO ACHIEVE IT?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Integrate biodiversity into Brazilian business strategies, aligned with the Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) goals and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF);&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand the private sector&#8217;s needs regarding positive impact actions on biodiversity &amp; climate through risk assessment frameworks;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build capacities on the SBTN \u2013 Science Based Targets Network for sectoral guides on impact to nature and water;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Build capacities on the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) for companies;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Align goals 8 and 15 of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thematic Webinars:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in meetings focused on advancing the decarbonization agenda and engaging senior leadership on the biodiversity &amp; climate theme.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Technical Meetings:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in knowledge building and help develop the pilot of business strategies to act on the five focuses of SBTs &#8211; Fresh Water, Land, Oceans, Climate and the 5th as Biodiversity unifying all 4 nature dimensions and develop integrated decarbonization plans based on the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and nature impact reduction (SBTN);&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PREREQUISITES FOR PARTICIPATION<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your company must be part of the Global Compact \u2013 Brazil Network and be a participant in at least one of the Environmental Action Platforms (Climate, Water, Ocean, Waste, Agriculture and Forests).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I WANT TO BE PART OF IT<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Biodiversity &amp;
